Coastal Toetoe Dipped Black On White
This ceramic bowl features a drawing of a Toetoe which is one of New Zealand's native grasses. It can be found throughout our landscape but especially along the coast where it helps with sand dune erosion. It has many uses including being used medicinally, providing shelter for native species such as skinks and it is a source of food for our native birds.
Made from white porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside. Size 240mm x 190mm x 40mm deep ˑ each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid. These pieces feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection. Food safe, dishwasher & microwave safe. Designed in New Zealand by Jo Luping, made in China.
