Aroha Paisley On Blue 7cm Bowl
This piece of porcelain is my New Zealand version of the paisley motif that traces its origins back to Persia and the Sassanid Empire around 224 AD. The bowl features a drawing of a heart shape made up of unfurling fern fronds. I call it my Paisley Aroha as Aroha means love in Māori.
Made from white porcelain, inside semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside.
Size 7cm diameter x 2cm high / each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid.
These pieces feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection.
Designed in New Zealand by Jo Luping.
